Following 10 years of ministry, the members of The National Christian Choir voted for their favorite selections. The result is a satisfying combination that touches the heart. As with most of The NCC's recordings, the selections are accompanied by full orchestra.

This recording is in many ways our 20th Anniversary recording. When The NCC had been in ministry for 10 years, the singers voted on their favorite selections from that first decade. We then released our "10th Anniversary Recording" in 1994 containing those selections. As we approached our 20th year of ministry, our Music Team got together and made the selections. This time, the titles chosen were those we've sung in concert during our second decade, never recorded, but wish we had.

The Apostle Paul said it clearly in Romans 1:20 -- "For since the creation of the world, God's invisible qualities -- His eternal power and divine nature -- have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse." (NIV) The music of this recording was carefully chosen to celebrate and reverence God's magnificent handiwork in nature. From unrestrained joy to wrenching pathos, these songs were conceived out of human suffering and redemption of historic proportions. Many of the settings are a cappella, featuring eight voice parts, containing intricate rhythms. It took months of focused energy to master the mechanics of the music itself so that we could then go deeper and capture the soul of each piece.
