An Important Message from the NCC
Concerning Our Annual Golf Tournament
We are reaching out to you today about an event that’s very special to the National Christian Choir our annual Golf Tournament. First, we express our deep appreciation for those of you who generously supported our 2019 Tournament. It was a great success – owing to all our wonderful sponsors and players! That success supplied needed funding for our ministry in the areas of concerts, radio broadcasts and recordings. The recordings make our MOM outreach (Music for Our Military) possible and also support our radio program, Psalm 95. That program has been especially meaningful recently as it has brought encouragement to many listeners during the shutdown when they couldn’t get out to go to church.
Like many businesses and charities, the Choir’s budget has been extremely hard-hit by cancelled concerts and also by not being able to hold our Golf Tournament in June, as we have for the last 12 years. I know many of us are trying to return to some sort of “normal” as virus restrictions ease and I’m sure it will take some time to get back to where we were pre-virus. As a part of our effort to “keep the lights on”, the National Christian Choir has decided to go ahead this fall with our 2020 Golf Tournament; it is scheduled for Thursday, September 24 at The Links at Gettysburg. The golf course is now fully operational, permitting 2 golfers per cart and re-opening its beautiful clubhouse.
We hope you will be able to participate with us in sponsorship of our tournament at some level. To our previous sponsors — we certainly understand if your support can’t be at the same level as in past years. Just know that we would be very grateful for any help you might be able to give us this year. You will receive a sponsorship packet soon. If you have not been a tournament sponsor in the past but would like to help us this year, please visit our website nationalchristianchoir.org for more information and sponsorship forms (see right column). As always, the Choir is deeply appreciative of all sponsors and players who make our tournament a very special event!
Blessings to all,
Kathy Bowman Director of Music and Ministries
