The National Christian Choir’s 8th Annual Children’s Christmas Choir
Calling ALL CHILDREN Who LOVE to SING!
The National Christian Choir, based in Montgomery County, MD, is recruiting children in grades 2-7 to participate in the 8th Annual Children’s Christmas Choir, under the direction of Mrs. Donna Isaacs. Participating children may opt to sing
in the Frederick, Maryland concerts on December 1 at Governor Thomas Johnson High School OR in the York, Pennsylvania concerts on December 8 at Living Word Community Church OR in both locations. Performances are at 2:00 and 6:00 on both Saturdays.
In addition to performing several selections by themselves, the Children’s Choir will join the 160 voices of The National Christian Choir in a combined anthem as well as a grand finale. This is a wonderful opportunity for children who love music to sing in up to four glorious concerts with full orchestra.
Four regional rehearsals (usually weekly) will be held beginning in late October or early November in various locations throughout Maryland and Northern Virginia, as well as in nearby West Virginia and Pennsylvania, to accommodate children who desire to participate. Two joint rehearsals will be held on November 19 and 26 at First Baptist Church, Rockville, Maryland for those participating in the Maryland concerts. Dress rehearsals for each location will be on the Saturday morning prior to the afternoon performances. Registration is $20 per child and includes a rehearsal CD, lyrics for practice at home, a specially designed T-shirt to wear during the performance and pizza/snacks/entertainment on concert day.
